Hi there and welcome to Vegan Orleans !
The Vegan Dining Guide to the City is only a small sample of places where you can great Vegan food in New Orleans , just a few of our favorites. Be sure to pick up a Gambit Weekly (coffee shop, convenience store) while you're here for more restaurant (and music) listings. And for those of you with the little fridge in your room - or you locals with the big fridge in your room - be sure to check out our local Farmers Markets . You can find a list of days/locations here- Crescent City Farmers Market or just visit the French Market (Americas oldest city market founded in 1791) in the Quarter for fresh local produce and more.
Please note : Vegan Orleans is not interested in supporting the brutality of the dairy and egg industry . This web-sight is dedicated to finding delicious Vegan restaurant options in New Orleans (no lacto-ovo vegetarian please ) . We do , however, want everyone to enjoy the guide !

The menu also features black bean burgers that are made in house. And you right there on Frenchmen St... a locals favorite for great live music. Hours: Open 11am 'til 4am

Just in case you are with friends or family who insist on having a "fine dinning" experience in the city, I have been told that if you call ahead chef Susan Spicer will make you something Vegan and amazing. If you turn on St Louis St headed towards Dauphine, Deju Vu is 2 blocks down. They have a Garden Burger (it even says Vegan ingredients on the menu, they must have gotten that question before), fries and onion rings. Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Felipe's Taqueria French Quarter 301 N. Peters St New Orleans (504) 267-4406 Website Cafeteria style Mexican. All of the meals are made to order while you watch. The guacamole is not Vegan (really) - it has dairy, but you can request avocados. Mention that you would like dairy free guacamole please, maybe they will change this if enough people ask! Also located Uptown at 6215 S. Miro. Hours: Sun - Tue 11 am - 10pm, Wed - Sat 11 am - 3am
