Great funky atmosphere. The Portobello Sandwich is delicious and so is the tofu scramble. The menu also features black bean burgers that are made in house. And you right there on Frenchmen St... a locals favorite for great live music.

Has some good food but you have to request no cheese. Spice tomato spread, hummus , sandwiches and wraps.

African Restaurant. A favorite among local Vegans. Features black-eyed pea and tomato stew served with coconut rice and plantains. Bennachin also runs a lunch special from 11am-3pm for delicious food on a budget. Cash Only.

All Vegetarian (currently the only all vegetarian restaurant in the city). Eclectic menu with many Vegan options. Be sure to check out the Dragons Den upstairs for great live music. Still hungry after the band? Cafe Bamboo offers a smaller late night menu at the pick up window in the back that is open till 2 am (most nights)

Dogs are welcome with open arms at Envie. It's a great place to hang out indoors with your Best Friend in the summertime or anytime. Features all the usual coffee shop beverages plus a full bar liquor, wine and beer. Bagels & jam  could someone ask them what happened to the Vegan cookies.

Cafeteria style Mexican. All of the meals are made to order while you watch. The guacamole is not Vegan (really) - it has dairy, but you can request avocados. Mention that you would like dairy free guacamole please, maybe they will change this if enough people ask! Also located Uptown at 6215 S. Miro.

Lets get some food in you and soak up the alcohol before you blow all your money.  Fudruckers-- Open till 3am --Best Veggie Burger in town according to Juliet, it comes with toppings like caramelized onions, avocado & portobello mushrooms..  MacCalsters --Deli veggie wraps.

This hidden little gem comes to us from Aviva who clams that the veggie sushi rolls are out of this world: avocado, seaweed salad and asparagus among other things. 6 pieces for $4! Also features a cucumber salad.

Louisiana Pizza Kitchen is  right by the French Market that features pizza baked in a wood burning oven. Whole wheat crust available by request  ; grilled seasoned marked veggies , fresh basil , fresh baby spinach,sun dried tomatoes , black beens , red  and yellow bell peppers are a few of the toppings you have to choose from ,   wraps that can be made Veagn & salads . LPK also features an impressive selection of  Imported and Micro Brewed Beers and Wine by the glass or bottle. There is outdoor seating so LPK is yet another great place hang out  with your puppy in the Quarter , the wait staff will even bring out a bowl of water for the little guy .

This is a great place to sit outside and people watch. I like it because I can bring my dog. They have a great spinach salad and garden burgers, though I always order the chicken wrap minus the chicken with added avocados and tomatoes. It is really good, comes with spicy peanut sauce, and it would really screw with them if other people started ordering the exact same dish!

Mediterranean Food. I'm hooked on the falafel wraps and stuffed grape leaves. The service is quick and you can't beat the prices.

Chinese & Vietnamese food. The tofu avocado spring rolls and tofu avocado vermicelli bowls are delicious and reasonably priced.

Great chai tea w/soy & a sandwich called the Farmers Market w/cucumbers, sprouts, red onions, lettuce  tomatoes & avocados (just tell them to hold the cream cheese ).  

This is a quant little deli on Royal street which features Oatmeal served with brown sugar and fruit for you early risers , potatoes and toast .  And for lunch , red pepper hummus w /peta ,celery & carrot sticks , homemade guacamole & salsa  and  a wide variety of salads that can be veganized --I know it's sad when you have to veganize a salad but they'll do it for you , Also a veggie sandwich w/ broccoli , carrots , cucumbers , lettuce , tomato & avocado  & mushrooms just have them hold the cheese or a peanut butter and banana sandwich  w/ or w/o honey for $4.

Thai for those of you who like it spicy!

 Ask for the Vegetarian Menu -- anything on there can be made Vegan. Tomatillo's  has a Pet Friendly Courtyard !  With live bands and 300 flavor combinations of margaritas . Sounds like a good time to me :)  They also do a great job with large groups .
