Just take the Canal St. ferry across the river to Historic Algiers Point. You can rent a bike in the Quarter here or here  to make this beautiful neighborhood more accessible .Tout de Suite features oatmeal w/chopped fruit, blueberries, granola , raisins or sliced almonds. Potatoes O' Brian, bagels & and assortment of cereals w/ soy milk for breakfast.  Lunch & dinner include Veggie Burgers and the best salad in the city "oh so beautiful" mixed greens  red onions, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, blueberries!, sliced almonds, (they will hold the cheese for you) served w/ vinaigrette.
