Cafeteria style Mexican, all of the meals are made to order while you watch. The guacamole is not Vegan (really) it has dairy but you can request avocados. And mention that you would like dairy free guacamole please, maybe they will change this if enough people ask.

Yet another favorite among local Vegans. Garage Pizza Rocks. The Tofu Bowl w/grilled veggies, mung bean sprouts, green onions, shredded carrots & served with a peanut ginger sauce is delicious. So are the Soba Noodles & Tempeh Delight. Grilled Veggie & Tofu sandwiches. Heavenly salads and, yes, Pizza. They have dine in or you can have all of this Vegan Goodness delivered right to you door.

Features a grilled vegetable salad w/ grilled portobellos , squash, zucchini , carrots , roasted red peppers ,  roasted tomatoes  cucumbers & artichokes  -just ask that they hold the feta and use the homemade raspberry vinaigrette  and it's Vegan paradise . Gott Gourmet also has a grilled veggie wrap that is loaded with veggies including  avocados , artichokes & baby spinach.  BYOB- Gott Gourmet does not serve alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own (no cork fee) .

Gott Gormet uses  biodegradable food containers made from sugarcane fibers  as well as combustible cups , lids and straws made from corn . If we could get the bars on Bourbon to do that we could save the planet !

 This comes to us from Kyle and Derwin . Houshun can be classified as Neo-Asian and draws from, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and South Asian cuisines . On their "Vegetables" selection you can find Tofu Steak , Healthy Mixed Vegetables and Asian Vegetables . There are also a decent range of Veggie-Rolls .In the middle of their dinner Kyle and Derwin said they were greeted by the lead chef and owner of the restaurant, " Mama" as she is  affectionately know . Mama is a vegetarian and says she would be delighted to fix special veggie dishes  for anyone interested . Just call in advance.

Mexican. This is a great spot. The burritos are cheap and large. Magazine Street is a great little street Uptown  for shopping. Worth checking out while your here. Also located at 4724 S. Carrollton in Mid-City.

Ask for Cassey, she is a member of the NOLA Veggie Meet Up Group and ready to create a wonderful Vegan dinning experience for you! Try the Bruschetta Pomodoro for starters or the Uva - a veggie salad that can be made Vegan  -it comes with grapes and pine nuts. Any of the pasta dishes or pizzas can be made Vegan of course and they will add extra veggies to your hearts content. Cassey assures us that the chef is great about mixing and matching and creating dishes and she has a few tricks up her sleeve as well that aren't even on the menu. Enjoy!

This is one of my all time favorites in the city. Features a Veggie Po-boy, and lots of other options that can be made Vegan. I love it for the fresh squeezed juice and wheatgrass shots. As well as soy milk for your coffee. Be prepared for a wait as it is a popular spot among the locals.
