Quickly and easily spirals and slices vegetables in seconds.
Container minimizes hand contact and countertop mess. The threaded rod makes slicing easier and allows for continuous spiral slices. It disassembles and nests for easy storage and its non-skid container keeps fingers safe and minimizes messes. It is top rack dishwasher safe.
I’m having my Sweet 16 party in July and I want to start organizing it ASAP. I’m having a Hollywood awards ceremony theme, and at the start there’s going to be a meal with menus and waiters, like a restaurant. I’m hiring caterers who offer a customized menu service, so I need ideas for food An entire menu would be awesome, including a couple of vegetarian options. I want fancy, sophisticated food I have an unlimited budget, so anything goes Not just pizza, burgers etc! There’s going to be 150 – 200 people, so a lot of options would be great! Thank you

Here’s my suggestions:
Appetizers:
-Peking Duck (Description: Slices of crispy peking duck with hoisin sauce (Chinese BBQ sauce) & scallions on delicate pancakes or miniature steamed buns) This is a very high end (specialty) item often served on special occasions like wedding banquets. If you’ve never tried it, you are really missing something special. The flavor combination is incredible.
-A Smoked Salmon Tray (Lox with accents of creme fraiche’ (light French style sour cream), fresh dill, red onions, capers & lemon)
-Sea Scallops Steamed in Sake with a Ginger Soy Sauce Glaze
(Vegetarian Options that can also be enjoyed by Non-Vegetarians as well)
-Poricini Mushrooms Stuffed with a Roasted Vegetable Pate’
-Crudite’ Platter (the classic raw vegetable platter with Aoli (Garlic Mayonnaise)
-Grilled Asparagus with Balsamic Vinegar Glaze
-Roasted Fingerling Potatoes accented with Truffle Oil, Sea Salt & Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
-Vegetarian Sushi Rolls: Using ingredients like Shitaake’ Mushrooms, Cucumber, Asparagus, Vegetable Tempura
-Bow Tie Pasta with Garlic, Olive Oil, Red Pepper Flakes, Asagio Cheese & Asparagus tips
Dinner Stations (Each station will have something delicious & intriguing to offer):
-Prime Rib Station (If money is truly no object then go for the Kobe/Waygu Beef Prime Rib! It is amazing…out of this world.) But we are talking about an astronomical fee here when dining on Kobe beef so Angus Beef is fine too…Side: Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings & Braised Broccolini
-Dim Sum Station (Have an impressive assortment of all kinds of Dim Sum items in various steamers)
-Slider & Mini Pizza Station: C’mon you’ve gotta have something like this…your a teenager Heck, I’m an adult & I would have this! How cool if you could have a mountain of little classic slider cheese burgers & mini gourmet pizzas for people to enjoy.
-Vegetarian Station: Serve a Vegetarian Wellington (pretty much the same recipe as a Beef Wellington except you will substitute seasonal vegetables for the beef)
Other items:
-Roma Tomato Confit
-Roast Vegetable Couscous
-Cucumber/Carrot (Pasta) Dish-Have the chef create the illusion of “pasta” by peeling cucumbers & (2-3 carrots as well) lengthwise (using only the outside). Then, take the cucumber centers to create a vinegarette (combined with a little sugar & “Mirin” aka Japanese Rice Wine. The vinegarette will dress the vegetable “pasta”.Garnish with sprigs of cilantro.
Dessert: For dessert, I would have a Godiva Chocolate Fondue Fountain…with a creative assortment of items for dipping: Whole fresh strawberries, miniature bananas, poundcake cubes, marshmallows, pretzels, dried fruit, brownie bites.
Also, I would have the waitstaff walk around with A-1 Vienna Trays….a bold presentation of all kinds of desserts like: Tart Tatin, Creme’ Brulee, Napoleons, Petit Fours, (Grade A or the very large strawberries)Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Petite Fruit Tarts, Candied Whole Strawberries (these are beautiful), Molten Chocolate Cakes etc….
Ok, that’s it off the top of my head. I’m sure that whatever you order & dream up it will be a fabulous party. Enjoy!
(Oh yeah…IF you could find a chocolate company to make replicas of an Academy Award (made of solid chocolate & wrapped in gold foil…for your guests to take home at the end of the party…you WILL be the talk of the town). It’s just a thought…
